I ask because...I don't want to lose them.
I lost you. I lost you and I'm never going to go a day without thinking about you. Never. Losing Dezel was so hard, but when we left Pendrago you were still there, right by my side. I thought as long as I have you, I'll be okay.
And now...now I have to teach myself how to be okay without you. I don't know that it's possible.
But I know for sure I don't want to lose them; Lailah, and Dezel and Zaveid. Edna, Rose and Alisha too. I love them too much not to try. I love you too much not to try. I want...I want to live up to your faith in me. You believed I'd be okay.
I don't know if I will be...but I want to try.
