[ A pause as she feels her cheeks getting warm. She can't lie about it at all. ]

He's glad she's being honest, at least, even if there's nothing he can do about it.]

Would it make a difference at all if our communication was voice or text only? We'd at least be on the same page.

[ A shrug of her shoulders. She wishes she could see him. This might be something she has to try getting used to. With the invitation she's about to make if he accepts it, she's bound to start hearing his voice again and not see a face. ]

But I have a friend on my ship who might be able to. He's a spirit.

[ The real reason she wanted to contact him... ]

[ A nod of her head. Cole's a different kind of spirit, a spirit with a human body and a spirit of virtue. Maybe she'll let Mikleo figure out more for himself... ]

[Unfamiliar territory. But okay, he was probably going to have to learn to fly the shuttles eventually.]

[ Should she warn him about Tek? She doesn't think the others on the Pathstone will be able to see him. ]

[ Just talking to him, hearing his voice should be fine. She'll still be his friend. ]

[Hmm. He doesn't want to give her any promises with no way to fulfill them. But she sounds so unhappy, there's no reason he can't throw her a bone or something.]

While I'm there, we can test your resonance in person. If you're able to hear me, then it's possible that you might see me one day, as well.

If not, there's something else we can try, but we'd need Sorey for that.

Resonance is a word we use to describe someone's ability to see or hear seraphim. Some people develop or are born with very high resonance- like Sorey, for example. He grew up around us, so he can see us and speak with us like normal.

Most humans little to none, though, which is why I'm used to being invisible.

Oh, I understand. Rez-... resonance.

[ She repeats the word, correctly this time. Mikleo's explanation is clear enough for her. ]
