I could do that. Imagine all the things you can discover in the middle of an ocean...!

Ah- Mikleo, if you find something underwater you have to armatize with me so I can go down and see it too!

What? Of course. I assumed you'd be there.

[Exploring and Sorey just sort of go hand in hand with him, pls.]

...wanna armatize right now? So we can test and make sure we don't need to breathe. [More like they haven't armatized since Sorey shoved him out, and he's missed it. Which is hypocritical maybe, but he's only human.]

[Mikleo hesitates, because yes, it has been a while, and last time had ended so poorly that maybe they'd both become kind of shy of it. They'd worked it out, sure, but neither had tried or suggested it since. There hadn't been a need, but- even so-]

[nerdeology]

[No. You know what? It wasn't necessary before, and it isn't necessary now either, and that's not going to stop him. This is too exciting to let any old worries hold them back.]

We can practice in the big bath before we land!

[monolike]

[There's a second where Sorey is terrified that he's going to say no, that he's going to tell Sorey with his refusal that something has been irreparably damaged between them. Sorey unconsciously wrings his hands at that moment of hesitation before Mikleo beams and breaks that fear in half.

Sorey couldn't even stop that surge of joy and relief if he wanted to, and he lunges forward to wrap Mikleo up in his arms, even hoists him up off the ground in a bear hug (Mikleo always gets so cranky when Sorey does this sort of thing but he just can't help himself this time).

Sorey ducks his head, grinning and, instead of shouting out Mikleo's true name as per usual, keeps it quiet, between them, the way it was when he first heard it.] Luzrov Rulay.

[It's more a laughing protest than anything, for once, because it does usually make him cranky, but right now he's too happy to muster up the irritation. It's more the lack of control than the hug that bothers him, anyway, and- well, they're armatizing. It's the epitome of shared control.

Something about the way Sorey says his name - like they're small again, like it's a secret only they share rather than a chant to activate a battle technique - makes him shiver, anticipation mingled with relief. He'd known, becoming a sub lord, that his name would never be secret again, that it would be thrown to the wind again and again whenever it was necessary, and he'd accepted that long ago, but this is- familiar. Special.

Any concerns lingering from their last joining are washed away as he closes his eyes, melting into light in Sorey's arms and flowing into his body. Just like that, they're one again, and it's as if nothing happened before.]
