Mikleo is a seraph, a spiritual being that resembles a human but cannot be seen, heard, or touched by humans without a sufficient level of resonance. Resonance basically means their level of instinctive or spiritual power, depending on species.

Most people cannot interact with seraphim, and go about their lives without even noticing them. To combat this, his ability to manifest (which is normally limited to mirrors with enough focus) has been boosted. So he's, you know, playable.

There are a number of exceptions to the rules, of course. Those who can see and hear seraphim in canon are:

• Animals (or those with animal senses or instincts)
  
• Spiritual or supernatural beings
  
• Monsters
  
• Humans with exceptionally high spiritual resonance (those who can naturally see ghosts or spirits, those who can 'sense' the weird stuff)

For Drift Fleet purposes, anyone's resonance with Mikleo will increase the more they are around him, eventually making it so he can be at first heard, and then seen. Whichever crew members he has who don't fall in the above categories, for example, ought to start hearing him after a couple of months. Visibility follows some time after.

Mikleo will never be visible in photos or on the communicator, but his voice will always work on it regardless of resonance.

What's their resonance like? banshee radio!! Lydia can hear voices of other banshees or spirits in her head. She also gets premonitions of danger/death warning type things if that's ever a thing

What's their resonance like? Very stong, he's a regular Fallen Angel kind of demon very in tune with stuff like this.

What's their resonance like? Spirits exist in his world, and Sokka has even been captive IN the spirit world at one point for 24 hours. He doesn't have a high connection with them, however and only believes in them at all thaks to adventures with Aang and that whole being kidnapped thing. So probably not.

What's their resonance like? Being a pony he technically has animal senses but within his canon his race of pony are the least in tune with magic. I'll leave this one up to you.

What's their resonance like? Spirits exist in his world, but he goes far to actively avoid them. That said, his markings connect him to the Fade, the dimension where spirits all hang out. So there's a chance he'll be at least vaguely aware of him around (and hate it so much).

I keep meaning to add it to his permissions (may do that right now) but Mikleo has the same ability to sense malevolence/evil/etc as Sorey does, so since Mikleo will be visiting Crowley's ship during the next mingle, do you suppose he'd have any malevolence to sense? Because it would affect any interactions.

Am chill with both him and Cheese perceiving Mickey just fine, tho. With Cheese being an earth pony I can leave it up to you whether he can just hear OR both see/hear Mikleo, maybe? But animals can do both just fine in canon, so there's justification for it.

Species: Gifted human, which is genetic but not a subspecies; they just have nifty powers.
What's their resonance like? There's absolutely no spiritual, supernatural, or magical component to gifts, so Celeste isn't specially qualified to see him in any way. She is pretty much completely open-minded about what can exist out there, though, because she's done this multiversal rodeo before and learned better than to question much of anything.

Her gift is known as Nullification by Proximity, which is the cancelling out of other gifts when those with them are close enough to her, but anything that comes from or is the core of someone's being is basically off-limits because - well, she'd probably poof them out of existence when they came close enough. So that won't have any relevance in this case, but I figured I'd drop all the deets while I was here.

What's their resonance like? I'd think that, based on all the time she's spent with Cole and how closely she's listened to Solas' teaching about spirits and the Fade, that would give Jove a pretty good chance of at least HEARING Mikleo, but she's also got the added benefit of being a mage herself, having been INSIDE the Fade where all the spirits live, interacting with them, and being tied to it via her crazy godhand, so I feel like she might be able to see him as well, but I wanted to check in first to see if I was assuming correctly.

What's their resonance like? Enlightened powers don't work in any way similar to resonance, so he can't see jack. He is on the same crew as Dezel though and spends time with him, so idk if that'd speed up his ability to see/hear Mikleo too or not.

okay so Tolkien elves can almost certainly hear him and possibly see him, since they have that thing where they are attuned to the "song" of their world and very spiritually aware. This is especially true of the sort of elves who like Maglor were born in Aman/Paradise, where they have bright souls that literally kinda... spill out over their bodies, hence the glowing. Maglor is a bard, from a world built by song. So. Heeeeeeeeeee is even more attuned to the "song" of things, and IDK how this will play out XD He also grew up amongst the tolkien world equivalent of angels and gods so.....

What's their resonance like? I figure with Yuri's spiritual power she'd be able to see him and all right off the bat? It's implied she's always had the ability and a high amount of spiritual power, it just didn't manifest itself until her accident traumatized her enough to spark it lmao. Because Fatal Frame is nothing without its trauma.

She's also probably surrounded by negative energy/malevolence. She lived at the base of a mountain infamous for its suicides, so all the spirits she encountered were twisted and tainted by the malevolence on the mountain from the ritual meant to seal back the "tainted" waters failing hundreds of years prior. She's also witnessed/"relived" a good number of suicides and murders due to her ability, and is also canonly still on the fence about whether or not she should die herself or not.

So, you know......fun stuff.................

Species: Angel ... but not the heavenly type. In his canon, Angels are a species of what are basically space aliens.
What's their resonance like? I've been trying to figure out whether Kaworu would indeed be able to interact with Mikleo... I feel like there's a good chance he can, but I want to ultimately leave it up to you so that I don't step on any toes. Basically, Kaworu possesses and utilizes what is known as an A.T. Field — it's an extension of his soul that can manifest physically and gives him various abilities, etc etc, but what's relevant here is that he can sense other souls (and identify them as either human or non-human) by reaching out with his. He is also capable of communicating with a person over great distances (a measure of telepathy, in essence?). So, based on this... the possibility of Kaworu interacting directly with Mikleo is up to you!

If you want to go hardmode, he could be able to sense/hear Mikleo right off the bat and be able to see him over time? You could probably go either way, whatever makes it more fun.

I'm thinking that for most seraphim it might She'd likely be able to hear Zaveid right away, but maybe she'd take a little bit to see him. I'm thinking for most seraphim she'd be able to hear them immediate and take a little longer to see them, but since Mikleo's a water-type maybe the seeing part might be sped up a bit?

What's their resonance like? I'm wondering if he would? Elves do have heightened abilities compared to Men and their senses are razor sharp. They can do magic of their own in healing and such, but Maedhros has never acquired that skill. He's definitely more of a warrior - a very old one at that.

These are his abilities. Elves can sense Evil/Darkness, so maybe?

I've figured that the elves would all universally have pretty decent resonance to start with. This is what we ended up going for with Maglor- he was able to hear Mikleo just fine from the get-go, and could see sort of a shadowy ghost at first. Over time his resonance got stronger (repeated exposure helps), so now he sees and hears Mikleo like normal.

Really it would depend on how they compare, sense-and-spiritual-wise, but I'm chill with him having some resonance to start.

What's their resonance like? Carvaka had a basic requirement that everyone was able to see and interact with Mikleo and this was based on the power of belief overcoming barriers to resonance to... better keep Mikleo alive (and playable in a game with a smut requirement). Monty has physically interacted with a version of Mikleo in Carvaka and retains some of his belief-based abilities. I think this should allow him to at least hear Mikleo. I wouldn't mind extending this to immediate interaction. He would, at least recognize Mikleo's voice. Sorey and Mikleo helped Monty out in Carvaka on more than one occasion and he was intimate with Carvaka's version of Mikleo at one point when Sorey wasn't around to help with that.

No issues with the resonance stuff though, thanks! Good to know. Mikleo's currently dead AWOL but I'll keep an eye out for interaction opportunities for when he's back.

What's their resonance like? He's a wizard, to start with. Canonically he can't outright sense a spell without looking but he can sense magic in active use. Additionally he's hyper sensitive to magic even in his own canon. He once was able to see ghosts (when he was crazy. Long story) and used that experience to find a way to see them on purpose. Given all that, it's pretty likely he'll be able to hear Mikleo. I'm not sure about seeing him. Mikleo may or may not fall into the umbrella of spirits that he could perceive via the method he's devised, but Felix may have to concentrate to see him right off the bat.

What's their resonance like? I'm guessing a canon equivalent would be quintessence. Keith is shown as being able to sense a "strange energy in the desert" in the first episode. The source of this energy was the Blue Lion, which actually ended up bonding with Lance, but Keith was still able to pick up on its presence. It's clear that Keith is a bit more than human when it comes to his awareness of mystical energy, but he doesn't know yet how to channel it or really focus it. I'm okay with him not seeing Mikleo right away, but maybe hearing him? And then being able to see him a little faster than a full-blooded human would.
